Dr Claudia Mika is the Founder and CEO of Temos International Healthcare Accreditation, a Germany-based organization dedicated to improving quality in healthcare through international accreditation.

With a long-standing commitment to developing robust accreditation standards, Dr Mika has supported healthcare organizations around the world in strengthening their quality management and risk management systems—from Brazil to the Philippines. Her work is grounded in global collaboration and a deep understanding of diverse healthcare environments.

She regularly advises professional associations and governmental institutions on topics such as healthcare quality, patient experience, and the management of care for international patients.

Dr Mika serves as Vice Chair of the Diplomatic Council Healthcare Forum, contributed to the 2018 Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Medical Tourism Conference as a member of its Scientific Board, and has been a judge for the International Medical Travel Journal (IMTJ) Awards since 2013.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field, she received the Dr Sanjiv Malik Lifetime Award in 2017. In 2019, under her leadership, Temos successfully completed the accreditation process with the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua/IEEA), securing its position among the world’s leading healthcare accreditation organizations.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Mika and her expert team developed a comprehensive set of standards in 2020 to support healthcare organizations in minimizing transmission risks and protecting the wellbeing of patients, staff, and communities.
