Jakub Dejewski has worked in fertility and IVF since 2009. He is CEO and co-founder of IVF Media Ltd., the international media group publishing 11 patient education websites in five languages, and co-founder of CAPTCHAT SL. He chairs the European Fertility Society, holds an MSc and an MBA, and is a member of the British Fertility Society and ESHRE. Author, publicist, speaker and researcher, his work rests on one conviction: fertility patients decide better — and do better — when they are properly informed and properly cared for.
From inside the industry to the patient’s side
Jakub joined the fertility sector in 2009, building international sales and patient relations for the industry, with more than 25 years of wider business and leadership experience behind him. What he saw from the inside set the direction for everything since: patients travelling abroad for treatment with no independent information, no fair basis for comparing clinics, and nobody whose job it was to stand on their side of the table.
In 2012, with Aleksander Wiecki, he co-founded IVF Media to close that gap. The group’s sites — EggDonationFriends, Fertility Clinics Abroad, Fertility Road, WhereIVF and their German, French, Italian and Polish sister titles — help patients worldwide research IVF, egg donation and treatment abroad, with no paid rankings.
#StrongerTogether and the European Fertility Society
In April 2020, with clinics across Europe suspending treatment and thousands of patients left mid-cycle, Jakub co-founded the #StrongerTogether initiative with Aleksander Wiecki. Emergency online support turned into a standing programme of webinars and expert events for patients going through the hardest parts of treatment, unsuccessful cycles included.
That led to the European Fertility Society, founded in December 2020 as an evidence-based organisation giving people in treatment tools, support and education. As Chair of its Executive Committee, Jakub focuses on access to quality education across Europe, higher standards of care, and certification programmes for clinics. The Society’s scientific and education committees are chaired independently.
Research and speaking
Jakub leads IVF Media’s original research into treatment abroad — including a 2024 survey of 1,189 patients and the annually updated IVF Abroad Patient’s Guide, covering 11 countries. He speaks regularly at fertility events across Europe on cross-border care, patient experience and transparency in the industry.
