The United Kingdom
Dr Goddard-Crawley is a highly experienced psychologist and health professional with over 25 years of clinical practice. She works from the understanding that human beings are complex and cannot be reduced to simple frameworks. As an integrative practitioner, she draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, including third-wave approaches), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic models, tailoring her work to meet both the short- and long-term needs of each individual. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful foundation for meaningful change and a more authentic, fulfilling life.
She has extensive experience supporting adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and PTSD, with particular expertise in attachment and relationship dynamics. In recent years, she has specialised in working with fertility-related challenges, supporting both individuals and couples. Her professional interests also include health psychology, psychosomatic medicine, and autoimmune disorders.
Dr Goddard-Crawley also runs a dedicated website focused on fertility: conceivingconception.com.
Her interest in psychology developed from her earlier career in nursing, where she became engaged with the field of health psychology. This led her to explore behavioural patterns and relational dynamics more deeply, shaping her path toward completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
Throughout her career, she has gained significant experience supporting adults facing a range of health-related and emotional challenges, including infertility, cancer, bereavement, anxiety, depression, occupational stress, and emotional and behavioural difficulties. She is known for her natural ability to connect with clients, offering empathy and grounded support, which helps foster strong and lasting therapeutic relationships.
She completed her initial degree in Health & Human Sciences in 1994, followed by a degree in Psychology at the University of Liverpool in 2004. She then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Health Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University, before undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of East London.
