Natalie Silverman
United Kingdom
Natalie Silverman, a former radio broadcaster and fertility patient who launched the UK’s first fertility podcast in 2014, sharing patient stories and expert interviews to support people struggling to conceive. The Fertility Podcast paved the way for other podcasts in the fertility space, highlighting the vital need for people struggling to bring a baby home to be able to hear relatable stories from one another. Natalie quickly became a patient advocate, creating digital content for Fertility Fest and The Fertility Show, as well as hosting events and speaking regularly to the media. With almost 1 million downloads, The Fertility Podcast is always within the top 100 health podcasts globally and is now being hosted by Kate Davies, an independent fertility nurse consultant, and Natalie’s former co-host.
In 2020 Natalie co-founded Fertility Matters at Work CIC, with Becky Kearns and Claire Ingle, three women all former patients on a mission to ensure fertility is recognised and supported in all organisations, through its fertility-friendly accreditation. Fertility Matters at Work is supporting leading names such as Selfridges, Cadent Gas, Deutsche Bank and News UK with this important well-being strategy. Natalie now also produces The F Word at Work™️ podcast, sharing stories of people’s struggles at work, thought leadership on well-being at work and best practice from organisations who are becoming fertility friendly.
