Chief Scientific Officer and co-Founder of MIM Solutions. Professor of Computer Science at the Institute of Informatics at the University of Warsaw. One of the best AI experts in Poland. Winner of the National Science Center Award in the category of natural and technical sciences for the Best Polish Scientist (2018) and the 2018 Crystal Brussels Award. Founder and CEO at IDEAS NCBR, the first Polish AI Institute. He works on algorithms, in particular on algebraic methods, dynamic programming, stochastic optimization methods, planar graphs and approximation algorithms.

Privately, after an infertility journey, together with his wife Ula Sankowska, who is currently a co-CEO of MIM Solutions, they undertook two projects (EMBRYOAID and FOLLISCAN) which are aimed at helping IVF Clinics all around the world with the use of AI to increase the effectiveness and improve the standards of in vitro procedure.
